Barrett regards his work with clients as an honor, a challenge, an art, a science, and a lifelong passion. His process with clients typically begins as a focus on the places of pain with solution-oriented, research-based approaches. From there, Barrett joins his clients in a deeper process for a better understanding of Self, relationships, brain science, behavioral science, and methods of finding sustaining life satisfaction. He regards his work of therapy as a sacred and grounding process, using the best current understanding of the brain, the mind, and his client’s unique lens to alleviate suffering.
Barrett provides a safe place in his sessions where clients can open up, explore, and discover the virtues or disharmony in their brains, behaviors, and relationships that provide the most profound sources of joy and pain. Barrett’s balance of purposeful focus on permanent solutions to his client’s most prominent challenges with patience, honesty, and respect for client process has led to profound success and lasting change in the lives of those he works with.
