Discovery Call: Costa Rica Excursion

Join the Costa Rica excursion facilitators for a discovery call on January 25th.

During the call we will provide an overview of the trip as well as discuss what the focus of the excursion will be, why the trip is structured the way it is, and how we plan to accomplish certain trip objectives and outcomes for those participating. This is a brief list of topics that will be covered:

  • Explanation of the Hero’s Journey and how it serves as the model for self-discovery for the excursion.

  • Addressing the intrinsic and extrinsic benefits of the excursion.

  • What facilitators and participants hope to gain from participating in the excursion.

  • An overview of the trip itinerary as well as logistics for travel

  • Therapeutic elements that have been woven through the trip structure: the group process, recreational and adventure-based approaches to therapy, self-reflection and introspective interventions, and systems-oriented approach to self-reflection for the individual and the individual within the group itself.

  • Trip safety protocols and risk management procedures.

Following the meeting, meeting participants are invited, but not required, to stay after 7:30 for the Q&A session where trip facilitators will address any personal or general questions that may arise.

This call is for any and all! We welcome those who are simply interested in hearing more about the excursion as well as those who have already committed and/or registered to join Apraxis in Costa Rica from March 2—10!
